10k Science Overview
10k Science is Dynamoid’s flagship product: an immersive 3D science learning platform for web and VR. It helps learners explore real scientific data through interactive environments, AI-guided instruction, formative assessment, and educator-facing insights.
The platform is designed for science topics that are hard to teach with text, diagrams, slides, or video alone: microscopic structures, molecular processes, body systems, environmental systems, scientific mechanisms, and phenomena that require learners to connect ideas across scales.
Product Pillars
Immersive 3D Science
10k Science lets learners move through science rather than only look at it. Students can explore 3D environments, select objects, zoom across layers of context, and move between scales such as body, tissue, cell, molecule, and atom.
This is especially useful for topics where spatial understanding matters: cells, proteins, DNA, blood, plant structures, nervous-system signaling, respiratory systems, wildfire smoke, filtration, molecular binding, atomic orbitals, and other systems that are difficult to observe directly.
Real Scientific Data
10k Science experiences are built around real scientific data, research-based visualizations, and collaborations with scientists and educators. 10k Science materials describe content created using authentic data from researchers at institutions including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and the University of Washington.
The content library includes experiences and learning topics across molecular genetics, plant biology, food chemistry, pain signaling, pharmacology, environmental health, wildfire smoke, cellular respiration, air quality, antibodies, echolocation, evolution, and chemistry.
AI-Guided Learning
AI Guides audibly guide learners through 10k Science environments. They can orient students, call attention to relevant structures, prompt observation and explanation, listen to spoken responses, and provide personalized real-time feedback.
The AI Guide functions as an instructional agent inside the immersive experience. It helps turn exploration into purposeful sensemaking by prompting students to explain what they notice, how a mechanism works, or how events connect across scales.
Formative Assessment And Educator Insight
10k Science is positioned as a formative assessment tool, not a high-stakes testing system. Students respond verbally to prompts as they explore. AI helps score understanding of key concepts, while the Educator Dashboard gives teachers visibility into student progress and student thinking.
This creates a learning loop: students explore an immersive environment, the AI Guide prompts them to explain, students respond verbally, AI provides feedback and scoring, and teachers use dashboard insights to identify where students understand concepts or need support.
The Viewer, Guides, Dashboard, And Formative Assessment page explains this product workflow in more detail.
NGSS-Aligned Learning Design
10k Science is designed to support NGSS-aligned science learning. 10k Science content is developed to align with the Next Generation Science Standards in partnership with the Lawrence Hall of Science.
The platform is well suited to NGSS practices and crosscutting concepts because students can investigate phenomena, explore models, reason about systems, trace cause and effect, connect structure to function, and move across scales.

Product Positioning
10k Science is for classrooms, schools, districts, higher education institutions, researchers, science communicators, and organizations that need a deeper, more spatial way to understand science.
The platform is especially useful when learners need to:
- See structures or processes that are too small, too abstract, or too complex to observe directly
- Move through scientific environments rather than view them passively
- Connect molecular, cellular, organismal, environmental, and human-scale ideas
- Explain mechanisms, compare states, and reason across systems
- Receive guided feedback while exploring
- Give educators evidence of student thinking and understanding
10k Science also has potential uses beyond classroom instruction, including higher education, scientific and industrial visualization, and medical or healthcare communication. The Market Applications page describes those use cases.
Creator And Researcher Model
10k Science content is connected to Dynamoid’s broader creator model. Dynamoid works with scientists, educators, and learning designers to translate research data and scientific mechanisms into immersive 3D experiences. Researcher bootcamps and creator workflows help scientists communicate complex data through VR and interactive 3D.
The Researchers And Creators page explains this history and process.
